Free net could catch more guests hotelier

first_imgSource = e-Travel Blackboard: N.J Quest Bondi Junction Studios franchisee manager Andrew Edsor says free internet has the power to impact consumers andtheir hotel choices. Providing guests with free start-up internet could be the “point of difference” for hotels hoping to make more bookings, says Quest Bondi Junction Studios franchise manager Andrew Edsor.Mr Edsor told e-Travel Blackboard that after research and correspondence from consumers he found that free internet had the power to impact consumers’ hotel choices.According to Mr Edsor, internet charges will go the way of in-room telephone charges. “Experienced travellers knew telephone calls were expensive and with the rise of mobile telephones this revenue disappeared,” he said“I believe this is what could happen with internet charges – guests will avoid the hotel service relying on their own portable 3G & 4G connections.”  A complimentary basic service with “the option to purchase higher speed and download options will satisfy the guest requirements and expectations”, Mr Edsor predicted.“Quest Studios introduction of free WIFI is just another example to Quest recognising the needs of our guests,” he added. Speaking to e-Travel Blackboard, Mr Edsor also revealed Quest Bondi Junction Studios would introduce a bike hire service for guests looking to explore the surrounding area “at their own pace and with a different view point”.Click back onto e-Travel Blackboard this week for more from Mr Edsor. last_img read more
