More information aboutthe Faculty can be found at https://web.edu.hku.hk/ .The PositionApplications are invited for appointment as Tenure-TrackAssociate Professor/Assistant Professor in Audiology in the Facultyof Education (Ref.: 503552), to commence on January 1, 2022 oras soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis,with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure beforethe expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract. Anexceptionally outstanding candidate at Associate Professor levelmay be considered for appointment on tenure terms subject toapproval.Applicants should possess (i) a Ph.D. degree in Audiology or arelated discipline; (ii) clinical audiology experience withchildren and/or adults; (iii) tertiary teaching experience; and(iv) a proven track record in, or strong potential for, research,scholarly publications and competitive external funding. Those withqualifications and experience acceptable for professionalregistration with the Hong Kong Institute of Audiologists arepreferred.The appointee will be expected to teach courses offered inundergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supervise researchpostgraduate students, contribute actively to research andknowledge exchange, undertake clinical practicum supervision, andassume service/administrative responsibilities asappropriate.A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications andexperience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medicalbenefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% ofgross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuityand University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme,totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
